Hello guys!

I've been away for some time now and there no update. I've been very busy now because of my latest project called PSOUP Publishing (please check the previous posts). Since I was half-way done, I was planning to test it before releasing it in this very domain. Hopefully, no major bugs will impede the transition. So after the transition, you can all download it.

Again, If you have a template (web site design) you want to be bundled in the project, you can send it now to us using the contact form or you can drop me a message @ brixter.deleon@paper-soup.com. Please note that your credits notices will remain intact. The reason for this is I want to have a variety of design. If you take a look at my previous designs offered at the download section, you'll notice that I never use graphics to design a template. I was never good in creating graphics. So if you have a design or template that you are confident with, email me the information, I will review it, once passed, I will modify it to merge with the PSOUP Publishing scriting template engine. So once released, you'll be able to see your own template in the template section of the administration panel. To preview it, go to Tools -> Themes -> Front Page Themes -> Select your template and there you go!

And that's it!

Good Day!

Thank you guys is not meant to be a farewell message. PaperSoup Design would want to give it's regards to our precious visitors for supporting the site.

It's nearly 2 months since we opened this website and we've got 4990 HITS!!! Let's make it larger so everyone can see^^

Whew, PSOUP CMS beta just died, it's good judging from me who uses it, it's good but also had a downside because it was created when I know less about PHP and MySQL. I've learned my lessons and as a sign of my gratitude to my precious uses, I'll be releasing the newest version of PSOUP CMS, the PSOUP Publishing 0.12!

So what is this PSOUP Publishing stuff? Can it be eaten? Can it be washed (cotton or plastic?). Well, PSOUP Publishing works much similar to Wordpress.

PSOUP Publishing let You do these stuffs (I've not listed all the features):

  1. Add, delete, edit articles
  2. Template system that let you create your own template with a breeze (unlike static HTML which is hard to deal with). All of the interface goes into a template directory.
  3. Multiple uses, Global Administrators, Use Groups...
  4. Clean Urls
  5. Plugin System (the Hello Dolly thing)
  6. Downloads Section
  7. Image Manager
  8. File Manager (create a directory then chmod it and then throw up a index.html to protect that dir).
  9. Administrator Panel which uses "Summed up Tutorials" as it's interface.

I know, you guys may be wondering what the heck happened to the PSOUP CMS? Well the truth is, I was planning to release it at sourceforge BUT as I've said, I am a noob back then so meaning I may have included a lot of useless codes. Although its working perfectly, PaperSoup Design visitors deserves a much newer and better version.

I've been staying all night (8:00 PM - 4:00 AM) just to create that script and furtunately, the development cycle is much smooth and no major problems yet encountered such as the script breaking. I've been developing in the local area using Apache.

Doe this post doesn't make any sense? Well it is not until you see the PSOUP Publishing. Please curse me if I failed to deliver this project but I am sure I can!

Templates, Anime Layouts

I love anime layouts and so my visitors. I've contracted some sites (Infinite Moon, Frail Frivolity Designs, etc) to use their layouts for the PSOUP CMS. If you have a template that you want to be bundled in the PSOUP Publishing (hosted by Sourceforge), use the contact form and get with us ASAP and we will bundle your template for the final release of the script!

Of course, we will review it and look into it.

And so that's that!

New admin template and the PSOUP Publishing!

Hello Again!

It's been a while since my last update.

Well I've been very very very busy with my PHP project development. The funny thing is, in the middle of the development cycle, the project's name changed dramatically. Originally, it's called "PSOUP CMS" and later on I decided to change it into "PSOUP Publishing". It's more convenient that way I guess.

Now, I'm having more fun developing that stuff more than creating new templates^^.

PSOUP Publishing

The development process is smooth and hopefully, we release it very soon @ Sourceforge so watch out for it.

And just a quick info, the summed up tutorials template is used as the admin panel interface for PSOUP Publishing.

Summed up Tutorials

Well, since I got so many time on my hands the previous day, I managed to create a brand new template. It's called "Summed up Tutorials". The name came from my ofline blog with the same name. It's a blog for PHP and MySQL tutorials compilations which uses Wordpress as a content manager.

Here is the preview of the template:

You can download it in this link.

And that's it!

Hello All!

Since my blog goooo BLUG! is not that active and I'll tear it apart when I got the oppurtunity, I'll post my rants here.

PSD Validation

I just noticed today that PSD failed the markup validation service. Since the script uses nl2br which adds <br /> at the end of each paragraphs even when using <ul> tags. So today, I removed all the nl2br functions and updated all the articles, downloads and downloads categories.

PHP Development

I've been looking for a template and pagination php classes @ phpclasses.org. Since I failed to implement a template class that allows me to use loops and php tags in a .tpl file, so I decided to write my own class minus the loop functions. The template class that can be downloaded @ phpclasses, org is all a great source for implementing a template system in your php projects.

The Digg Style pagination class @ mis-algoritmos.com is my favorite pagination class. Visit their site to download the latest version.

PSOUP CMS

Sorry guys, the beta version will not see the light. I've decided to not release it because of various things like bad and noob codings at most parts but maybe I'll offer it for downloads just for a reference.

I'll be releasing the updated version of PSOUP CMS. I'll be a major job because it means that I'll have to update also the PaperSoup Design, It'll take some time...

As of now, I've been working on the admin panel and I also implemented a clean url, a simplier version of wordpress's permanent link function. When you enable the feature, you'll get links like post/this-is-a-post and disable the function and you'll get psoup-post.php?id=this-is-a-post.

The script had one template for admin panel and one template for the front site.

This script will be my contribution to the ever growing neighborhood and I hope the script will be a help for internet uses who uses static html to their sites.

One word, PSOUP CMS beta sucks! PSOUP CMS v1.2 is oky^^

My mouse died on me

Sadly, yeah its dead. I tried to fix it by soldering some wires and using a gun glue inside of it but to no avail, I bought a new one. The main culprit of this incident is a video game Mass Effect 2 (I played as a baddass in the game). I also love games that let me use a clock ability and then nail the enemies without them noticing me and Crysis Warhead offers that. Crysis 2 is awesome.
